Have you ever thought about it? Have you ever thought that God had feelings? Jesus wept, do not grieve the Holy Spirit, do not quench the Holy Spirit, I have a future and a hope for you thoughts of peace..., I came that you might have lift more abundantly, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
There are scriptures after scriptures that share that God wants you to not only have what we would call "a good life", He wants us to let Him be a part of that daily living. Wives can be infamous about feeling their husbands don't want to be a part of their life, won't talk about their day, they want to know what is going on in their husbands minds etc. Many husbands are infamous of wanting respect, not being criticizes or judged or at least taken into account the efforts they do make though they don't always meet the standards of their wives.
There is a list that we probably can come up with whether you are a parent, spouse, or sibling the bottom line is we all have feelings. It is these feelings that make things so real to us. We become offended, jealous, envious, covetous, angry, bitter, resentful or we can become loving, peaceful, faithful, self controlled. Most of our decisions in life usually have been in this realm. We made a decision based on how we felt and not what we may always know to be a wise or appropriate decision.
So we can all relate to feelings. However God is normally treated like someone who is way out in the sky and so long distance that we dismissed that He wants to dwell in human hearts. We can dismiss his feelings as well. We can dismiss that He wants us to grow not just in our spirits but in our souls. He wants us to learn how to not just react or respond by our feelings but He does want us to be aware and acknowledge them and just like we want others to consider our feelings God wants us to consider His.
If anyone's feelings are valid it is God's. It's ashame that so many times we have made God more like a cloud, or something that cannot relate to us than the kind of personal God He really is. He's a person. He has a mind, He has a will, and He reasons like we all do, He considers, He loves, and He initiates that love on a continuous basis. So the next time you think of God think of how you see Him? Is he just like a wooden idol to you or someone who has a title, or is He someone that you have a relationship with on a daily basis? Is He someone that you may have possibly grieved, wept or brought joy to? Does He have feelings to you and if so what are they?
Where there is life, there is hope. I feel strongly that I can make it.
